Available now, on a first come first served basis, our community and partners have organised a no-cost online meeting/conference app so small businesses, community groups and entrepreneurs can easily work-from-home.
This service is provided in New Zealand, by New Zealanders, for New Zealanders. It is hosted and supported here at home, on-shore in Aotearoa.
To access the app to get teams, clients, and suppliers connected online, right now, at no cost, to minimise the current drama and disruption email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Working from home now” in the subject line.
You will be sent an invitation to join BigBlueButton (meeting/conferencing – similar to Zoom/Skype).
If you would like to talk to someone, or find out more go to https://clik.vc/communityroom (volunteers are currently hanging out there to help between 9-6pm).
For more information about BigBlue Button and other apps supplied for, by, with New Zealanders visit https://clik.vc/nzossemergencyresponse.
This response is created and supported by community-led organisations committed to delivering public-digital-infrastructure for, by, and with the people of Aotearoa.
The services are available pro bono, on a best effort basis thanks to hosting sponsored by CatalystCloud but all maintenance is performed by volunteer system administrators donating their time.
The use of these services must comply with the New Zealand Open Source Society’s Code of Conduct.
If you would like to add your support to this intiative to ensure New Zealand continues to thrive please email jo [at] venturecentre.nz
